Another test fit pic.

Should be drilling the side holes tomorrow. Been doing some math(which I hate) and think 2 5/8 holes will work the best.

Justin Garner @jtgarner

I am surprised that you aren't going to put a bunch of small holes in it. That seems to be the trend in breaks right now. There is evern one out there that hass a bunch of threaded holes so that you can reverse the recoil (the gun actually pushes down instead of up)

Robert Hathaway @rnhathaway

@jtgarner You don't want the muzzle pushing down. If you're firing and the muzzle is going down instead of up, you still have to move the rifle to correct for that. Its better to have all the expanding gas to come out laterally, that way you keep the same sight picture. Look at the tank style break on a Barrett, all the gas comes out to the sides.

Justin Garner @jtgarner

Right, I understand that, I am just saying that with all the threaded holes you can tune the recoil however you want to. I'm not saying that your idea won't work, I was just saying I was surprised you weren't following the current "trend."

Justin Garner @jtgarner

So you are going for a break, and not a flash suppressor correct?

Robert Hathaway @rnhathaway

Correct. I finished the machining today. I will be posting a pic in a min.
