I used to live in Fresno CA and I hated the gun laws there. The gang bangers, drug cartels, and thieves had more fire power than the average citizen that just wants to live peacefully. Then I moved up to Alaska and now free to open carry without a CCW Permit (Although it looks better if you have one).
We can carry concealed too. Although we can't carry concealed or open into Federal buildings, schools, bars, and any businesses that don't allow it there.
Mississippi, got my enhanced carry (instructor certified endorsement) which allows carry into schools, bars, biz, etc. no fed buildings, but don't ever go there anyway.
Man, you guys in Commiefornia need to quit whining and do something about the laws and remove the numbnuts from politics. If thousands of gun owners got together and armed themselves and made a presence at the capitol building maybe laws would get changed or you could all just move out and let the lawless and Mexicans have it, hell the big one is coming and it's going in the ocean soon anyway.
This is why I live in Utah. We can carry is schools and bars, as long as we are not drinking or under the influence. We of course cannot carry into post offices because of federal status, but it is by far the best place for carrying a firearm. I carry mine everyday to Weber St University, and hey we have one of the lowest crime rates for any school in the nation.
Easier said than done, CC. We here in Commiefornia ( yeah, that's good) are sorely outnumbered by the libtards. In fact, after the recent buttkicking, er, election, both major political parties have declared the formerly golden state a single party state. So, add the word "people's" to the Cali flag so it speaks the truth, People's republic of Caliornia. That's why I'm headed for Texas.
as a southern CA resident it really sucks to not be able to carry :(
@Dan - I live in NorCal and know how you feel. CA's firearms laws are super lame.
