This is my glock 19 that i spent 2 hours stippling a few months ago and today i had to file a police report cause some jack@$$ stole it now its in the hands of someone who has no respect for the law or guns hopefully it will be found before it is used in an unlawful manor!
A "manor" is a large house, like a mansion.. "Manner" would have been the correct word to use. Also, who's the bigger jack@$$, the person that stole the gun or the person that did not have it locked up? I guess YOU should be glad some CHILD didn't get a hold of it and shoot themselves.
Thanks Kevin for your input, but no where did he say he didn't have it locked up. Just so you know, it was in his locked car in the glove box. So next time, don't jump to conclusions. And I'm not trying to speak for James, but I don't know if I would be typing correctly if I just had my car's window bashed in and a firearms stolen!
NOWHERE did he say HOW it was stolen. And we are often told NOT to lock handguns in a glove box because it is NOT a safe location. He should have had a small safe designed to lock down inside the vehicle and hidden from view. The FIRST place someone is going to look for valuables is in the glove box. Now I do know who the bigger jackass is.
I don't leave my gun in my car. I don't leave anything of value in my truck.
@jamesconn Love the stippling. Hate that this happened to you. Hopefully you get it recovered soon. Keep us posted.
@jamesconn ah shit, sorry to hear about that. Hope you recover it. Everyone just calm down. Let's all get along with each other. I'm sure he learned his lesson.
@jamesconn sorry to hear it. Hopefully you get it back soon.
Riley, back off. His gun was stolen and yet somehow, you have to make him feel worse. Shut up
The bigger jackass is the one who blames the owner, not the thief
Nope, not going to shut up. He BEGGED for criticism by whining about his gun being stolen in the manner in which it was. If he had done EVERYTHING he could to avoid this happening, I would not have said a damn thing.
SUCKS to be stolen from. Been there, man. :-/
@Kevin- Seriously? Man, apparently we caught you at a bad time of the month, but try to show a little compassion for the man who had one of his guns stolen. It's not like he left it on a park bench, it was LOCKED up in his car. I have no kids in the house so one of my guns stays on my nightstand. My house doors are locked, but if someone breaks into my house while I'm not there and steals it then by your theory it's MY fault for not putting it back in the safe INSIDE my locked house every time I leave?
Typical liberal, blames the owner, not the thief. Probably blames women for getting raped too.
# 1 - I am not a Liberal - just the opposite. # 2 - As some one who has had his car broken into and items stolen only from the glove box while there were more valuable items sitting in the back seat, I have learned that the glove box is NOT to put anything you want to keep. # 3 - Hey, I'm sorry if I laid it on a little thick. I believe in straight talk and I was just trying to make a point. Apparently, there aren't a lot of people on this forum interested in hearing other points of view. So be it.
It is not about hearing other points of view, views are accepted. Why were you such an ass to this guy about something that he didn't do? He didn't steal his own gun, a thief did. Yet, you rripped into him for getting it stolen. You made it seem like it was his fault. Wrong. If you are going to act like this everytime a gun is stolen, stay off here.
Nice stippling job. Sucks it was stolen.
o.k so i have been kinda sitting back and just watching the comments pop up i figured there would be at least one person who was going to be a duche bag there is always one person out there who is just looking for a reason to piss in someones cheerios but back to the fact my glock was in the car cause i had to take it out to go into my daughters doctors office not because i thought the car was a good place to store my guns! @Kevin the awesome comedian Jim Gaffigan once said "People out there that correct grammer just know that no one likes you!" you do make some valid points but dont you think i know them already i posted this because its a place where people talk about guns and i wanted to put out a reminder to people that way maybe they are about to leave there gun in the car and think,Oh wait i just read about this guy who got his gun stolen from his glove box! A word of advice @Kevin dont be so quick to try and shit on someones day because you might end up making yourself look like a duche bag!
Hey man, just ignore the troll. The interwebz if full of them. Sorry to hear about the Glock.
I made a valid point. I would not consider myself a troll as someone has stated. I was defending my point and I stand by it. Regarding the name calling, I will be happy to apologize for calling you a jackass. It's not how I like to talk, so putting it in "print" was not appropriate here (or anywhere) when trying to make a point. I made the comment about grammar because it drives me nuts that people can't spell check and read before they post. I see it ALL the time in my local newspaper online and it's a pet peeve. I should have thought about the fact that I on occasion hit "enter" only to find I've posted something that I can't edit.
James, I hope you will accept my apology. Hopefully, your Glock is recovered or your insurance covers the replacement.
I do find it sad that not a single person understood the point I was trying to make. Maybe it's because it was overshadowed by other things that were said.
Sorry for your loss James. I'm not a big fan of custom work on glocks, but it looks like you did a really nice stippling job.
