Spent a large part of my Saturday at the range. Sighted in my red dots on my pistols for the indoor league. Got my Mosin on paper, shoulder and jaw bruised in the process. Tested different ammo in my CZ American. What a great day.
The Mosin has the original 1930 wooden stock so, it's got the steel butt plate. The length of pull is really short. I've thought about getting the synthetic stocks but, with the groups it shoots I'm not sure it's worth it. It's just fun to shoot now and then for the "holy cow" factor.
You thought about putting cheek pieces on your stock?
