If you shoot a hollow point while the gun is submerged, the bullet will expand in the barrel. Those bullets were shot while the gun was above the watter or the gun would be destoyed

@Iblis - You are mistaken, like many others are. If the barrel is full of water, then the pressure is equalized before firing. If only the first inch of barrel is flooded, then there is a pressure issue.
