Julius' birthday is Monday. I took him shooting for the first time! He shot like 10 different guns.

This is him with a Sig Sauer P226 in 9mm.

Good birthday present!

Cool. Maybe next time you can work on the grip?

@jonny4523 One step at a time. I thought it was more important to get him comfortable with all of the different guns we fired and how they work.

Lining up sights and theory first. Shooters take for granted how many things have to come together to make a good shot.

Now that he has shot a variety of guns and understands the reduced basics, then we could go out and concentrate on one and get better each time.

Too many instructors are failures because they overwhelm novices with too much information at once. That by itself drives people away from shooting.
