With the billet lower, I would suggest a billet upper. I don't think a standard upper would look right(my opinion). I prefer a Aimpoint Comp4s optic for a setup like this. If you don't mind me asking, why did you go with the 45 can instead of a .30 cal can? The 45 can will work, but won't be as efficient.
Exactly my thoughts on the billet upper. I just couldn't decide what to get. The aimpoint sounds like an awesome choice. Actually I do have 762SDN6 as well but I don't have a threaded 45 barrel on any of my 1911s and I saw this as an opportunity to just put it on the AR build instead. Besides, the 51T AAC brake is more expensive than changing the piston on the can.
JP makes some really nice looking stuff www.jprifles.com (although I've heard negative stuff about the customer service), and a gunsmith friend of mine highly recommends Mega www.megaarms.com.
Funny how we think alike! I also looked at seekins precision. So, would you like to see this with a compressor look or a suppressor inside the rail, or a minimalist 7" rail. I'll be posting pictures of the finished product.
There are certain rifles that can be use as a host for a pistol can. Supersonic rifle rounds are really high pressure and can easily damage your can.
But more importantly, here's the statement directly from Silencerco about using their Osprey line on a rifle: www.silencerco.com
CAN I SHOOT OSPREY ON MY RIFLES?
The only rifles suitable would be rifles firing subsonic, low pressure cartridges. Examples would include .300 Whisper/.300-221 Fireball, and .308 Win with subsonic ammo. Please call our technical department for specific host weapon and caliber recommendations. Firing supersonic rifle ammo through your Osprey will damage the suppressor and void your warranty.
We may be missing the point, we need to ask Federico about photographing firearms! He obviously has some insights he can share! But, yes, find about the can before you send anything downrange.
Thanks guys. Let me put it this way, let me know what you would like to see with these components to make a complete rifle, and I'll build it and shoot some gun porn with the final product. Maybe add a female model if it turns out good. Btw, I plan to only shout subsonic.
UPDATE: so Gary Hughes of Silencerco decided to send me the piston for my 300 blackout barrel and barrel spacer for free! What a stand up crew they have there!
All I need now is to know what most people would want to see on the upper side of this build.

I love the look of an integrated suppressor(free float tube covering the suppressor)
Yeah me too which takes the Osprey out of the equation :(
you're going to run a pistol can on an SBR?
Not if it's gonna ruin it. please share what you know.
