I switched from reading Victor Davis Hanson to Carl von Clausewitz for a short time. Calusewitz seems to bridge the large concepts of human nature in the context of war to actual "Knowledge and Decisions" of war time strategy. I have to reference other works while reading. The fundamentals are key.
