I HAVE to work on keeping that cheek on the gun. I should have realized this sooner, but last week I found that I shoot better lefty.

Why? Cross eye dominance.

I have to keep practicing, changing only one variable at a time.

Shoot with both eye open.

The LOP of the stock look awfully short for you also. And try moving your forward support hand a little more forward and to the side of the shotgun with your thumb pointing towards the end of the muzzle.

@rnhathaway Thanks for the tip. This is my first and only shotgun. Since it is an 870, maybe I could purchase a replacement stock that fits me better.

I tried both eyes open last night, both lefty and righty. It's going to take some getting used to. But I like practicing.

Thanks man.

Not a problem.

Did a little searching online on how to properly fit my shotgun, came across this.

The main thing I was taught was not to "aim" like you would a rifle. Its more instinctual.
