i see fakes at the gun show. if they only have it listed as NIB, but only have it priced at $150, that should make one wonder. I also see a lot of Trijicon and Aimpoint knock-offs.
Is their a noticeable difference in function/clarity etc.? I'm not really planning on an EOTech at the moment, but if I ever do I don't want to get shamboozled.
I know Leupold had some MK4 knockoffs start coming in for service a couple years ago. And I think Nightforce has had an issue too. With the Leupolds, from the exterior, you couldn't tell a difference. Didn't get a chance to look through the glass though to see what it looked like.
the fake Eotech's that i've seen were easy to spot, the reticle wasn't the usual 65moa outer ring and center dot. The fakes just had a single dot. The unknown is how long the electronics will last and how well the fake will hold it's zero.
