I'd like to think if he was left handed this wouldn't have happened.
I saw this post on @thorfirearms Facebook page.
wow thats some serious retention
I am curious to know how that managed to kaboom inside the holster....
Ah, I RTFA :) Yeah, I never worry my 1911 is going to snap in half from a drop or bump.
What's the story behind this?
reason 1273893407 that a 1911 is better than a polymer gun. LOL
"It reports the following photos come from a border patrol agent who fell off his ATV while training. The short visit to the hospital by the agent wasn't the only collateral damage of the fall, though. His P2000 handgun snapped at the handle."
Yea I just found the article and came back to answer my own question. www.theblaze.com/
Serpa FAIL once again. When are folks gonna learn that Serpa holsters are shit?
@photac This had nothing to do with it being a Serpa. The guy was riding a ATV, fell off and landed on his sidearms.
Wasn't the breakage mostly due to his baton being behind the gun & when he fell the leverage snapped it?
the leverage is probably right. I stupidly left my glock with my insight m6x on my SUV tire... twice! yep, twice. Then I accidentally ran over it, twice. Aside from the permanent scratches, it still shoots the same. The weapon light works perfectly too.
