I bet you could graduate from this to my Sig Scorpion. Although, that's a pretty big step up ;)
once you handle and fire a 1911 you won't want any other model. Maybe bigger. Maybe smaller, but you'll want the 1911. Even if you go to a Sig(my carry is a Sig C3)you'll want their 1911 line.
Seriously, what kind of fool would want to shoot a 100 year old, heavy, low-capacity, grandpa gun. Jeez.
