.950 JDJ= most powerful rifle ever made. Even though anything over .50 is considered a "destructive device" and illegal, SSK got a "Sporting Use Exception". Over 38,000 ft-lbs of energy. A .50 BMG has a little over 12,000. I know some of you are saying "the 20mm is more powerful". .....
But the 20mm is not technically a rifle. Its defined as a cannon.
Just watched a video on You Tube of someone firing this. Holy crap!!
Just a question though. I've seen 20 mm rifles. At least what I would define as a rifle. Whats the difference?
Nothing. 20mms are just classified as cannons.
This is a 20mm in my profile pic and the empties are next to a Kimber Super Carry Pro to give you a better size reference.
There are 20 mm rifles. Its not the caliber of the weapon that defines whether it is a cannon or not. What most define as a rifle is a a man portable, shoulder fired weapon with a single operator. Cannons and guns are generally crew served or vehicle mounted. However no matter what, the .950 JDJ is still an awesome weapon.
Holy crap.
