I don't have that model. I have the first gen Motherload. Its what I use as a range bag. The hydration system part worked great until the center of the 90° on/off valve fell out in school(also used it as a backpack way back when I was in high school). Had just filled it up earlier and had 100oz of water all over the floor. Never replaced it. That was also 11 years ago. The materials they used for the bag itself are topnotch.
I used one similar to this during VBSS ops in the gulf, outstanding to say the least. Only downfall was when our boarding lasted longer than usual, wouldn't stay cold. Suggestion, fill bladder "most" of the way then stick in freezer, or fill with ice. The water will be enjoyable longer.
that one looks like my od green one from the air force, it freaking great and anyone would love to have this....make sure he cleans it once in a while...lol
Thanks guys. I actually got it off ebay from McGuire Army Navy. It's so much bigger than I thought it would be lol but I hope it works for what he wants it for & I will def. make sure to keep it clean for him. I don't think he will be able to freeze it though with the tiny fridge he has in his truck, which is why he wants it because with constantly driving he can't always be getting back & getting water & with this heat he has been getting dehydrated easily & he drinks so much water it's not even funny. Our molle backpacks can actually be used with one too so that's nice, I got this one that matches our packs & because I got a great discount on it.
