Anyone know of a kit to convert a Sig Sauer 1911 45acp from single action only to double action?
Para and Colt used to make 1911-style DAO pistols but I'm not sure if they still do.
I need the help of the Gunway loyal. I do not consider my self a writer and also have no imagination. I have a few ideas for upcoming articles, but would like to hear your thoughts,ideas and questions you would like me to delve into for future write ups.
Arguable issues like caliber choice, prefered brand/county of origin of firearms, and the merits of hand loading are always good. Also, training technique for target and defense is always a good read.
Hi Gunway folks. I need help with deciding on a belly band type of holster. It's getting hot here in Alabama and I like to wear athletic shorts alot (who cares about fashion right? lol) but I can't use my Crossbreed holster without proper pants. Do any of you have experience with the belly bands and which do you recommend? My carry gun is a Ruger SR9c. I won't be running with that, so it's just a comfy holster that...
Crossbreed has a new belly band but nothing for the SR9c. I'd email them and ask them about one, you might get lucky. Pistolwear.com is another one I've seen that looks promising. I just stick with cotton cargo shorts and a belt.

My wife and I are wanting to get our FFL's and open a small(to start) gun and ammo store. We are in a complicated situation at the moment with my full time job. I may be moving to Cushing, Oklahoma from Kansas. We are in limbo for the time being, as I won't know whether we'll have to move or not for possibly a couple more months. Either way, we are selling our house in Wichita, Ks and moving either to Oklahoma or outside...

A friend's dad died and left some odd ammo. Mostly 8mm mauser and such, but, there is a crate of 7.62 in 200 rd. bricks sealed in rubber sleeves, like in the attached picture. Anyone ever seen this? Know its origin? Thanks in advance.

Looking at buying an AR or ACR. Any suggestions on manufacture/model, and where I might go to find one?
At this point on an AR your better off piecing one together with a lower and complete upper assembly. I'm no expert on how to do that. But all manufactures are on at least a 1 year back order. Anything you can reliably assemble is the way to go. For starters any RRA, Armalite, Sig will do. I have a Stag Model 3 and love it. Not bells and whistles like the expensive ones. But the beauty of that platform is the interchangabality of all the parts.
Looking to get some feedback on Smith & Wesson's M&P22 AR in .22LR. I took the wife to shoot and she loves it(except for the .30-06 LOL) even loves my AR. 22 is up her ally. She saw the pink S&W 22 and fell in love. However getting any M&P 22 rifle is lucky at this point. Just seeing if anyone had any insight for that model?
I think you're talking about the M&P 15-22 & I have to say that it is awesome! I've shot thousands of rounds through mine without a hitch. It goes with me every time to the range!
