Anyone know of a kit to convert a Sig Sauer 1911 45acp from single action only to double action?

Para and Colt used to make 1911-style DAO pistols but I'm not sure if they still do.

I need the help of the Gunway loyal. I do not consider my self a writer and also have no imagination. I have a few ideas for upcoming articles, but would like to hear your thoughts, ideas and questions you would like me to delve into for future write ups.

Arguable issues like caliber choice, prefered brand/county of origin of firearms, and the merits of hand loading are always good. Also, training technique for target and defense is always a good read.

are these firearms for sale or just showing them off???

Great site, nice to see someone did this. A couple issues right off the bat I see with signing up that will hinder sign ups.. 1. Limited Username. Cannot create longer usernames like with facebook for the URL 2. Business Name also has to be short??? I couldn;t put the full business name in there. 3. Location, some people don't want to say where they are at. Give the option to say USA, or a state, not having to sign...

Thanks for signing up! Yes, your feedback is on point. We've (@charlie, @colin) had several discussions on this topic and our goal is to revamp the registration process by asking for less information, making it easier to signup altogether. Thanks for the feedback on the username and business name too.

No app(yet). Post pictures and videos of firearms related stuff that interests you. Pictures of your range outings, guns you like, guns you want etc...

Looking at buying an AR or ACR. Any suggestions on manufacture/model, and where I might go to find one?

At this point on an AR your better off piecing one together with a lower and complete upper assembly. I'm no expert on how to do that. But all manufactures are on at least a 1 year back order. Anything you can reliably assemble is the way to go. For starters any RRA, Armalite, Sig will do. I have a Stag Model 3 and love it. Not bells and whistles like the expensive ones. But the beauty of that platform is the interchangabality of all the parts.

Looking to get some feedback on Smith & Wesson's M&P22 AR in .22LR. I took the wife to shoot and she loves it(except for the .30-06 LOL) even loves my AR. 22 is up her ally. She saw the pink S&W 22 and fell in love. However getting any M&P 22 rifle is lucky at this point. Just seeing if anyone had any insight for that model?

I think you're talking about the M&P 15-22 & I have to say that it is awesome! I've shot thousands of rounds through mine without a hitch. It goes with me every time to the range!
